That thought right there can cause many sleepless nights and I am sure I'm not the only one who worries about such things. When something so horrible happens in the world it makes me want to find something positive happening just to brighten my day a little. And then thankfully I came across a post on Facebook last night...
I get asked this all the time.. "What do you do in your free time?" or "What do you do when the kids are in bed?" my first reaction is to laugh.
I know it's a question I asked a lot when contemplating having another child. I remember after having our first daughter, one of the first sentences out of my mouth was "she's going to be an only child" and then down the track it turned to "when she's 5 we will start trying for another". Don't ask me how it happened but all of a sudden babies were all around me and it felt like our daughter was getting ready to go to school; I just had this unbelievable need or want even to add another member to our family.
I need to point out something we have all said at one time or another, WHY do we need ONE day a year for our kids, and let's be honest our partners to appreciate us? I've got to lay it all out in the open here, I would rather be acknowledged for something every day or every other day than to have another 'No.1 Mum' mug bought from the store.
I know I personally researched a lot to find out the bees knees products and went ahead and purchased so many different things, and in reality most of them were a waste of time. Now who's to say my list won't be any different for you?
